Welcome to Lochpark House Bed & Breakfast and your hosts David & Lesley Prag. After running the successful White House Bed & Breakfast on the Isle of Lewis, David & Lesley decided it was time for a new challenge!
Lochpark House opened May 22nd 2015 with both rooms newly refurbished. We are situated in the centre of the village of Carradale (15miles from Campbeltown), just a five minute walk from the harbour that still has a working fishing fleet and is an ideal place for exploring the Kintyre peninsula and surrounding islands. We have two en-suite rooms, a twin and a double; both have sea and woodland views. Detailed descriptions of these can be found on our 'Rooms' page.
We have off road parking and bicycles can be accommodated in our shed. We also have available packed lunches (menu on the tariff page) for Kintyre Way walkers. Guests are also welcome to sit out on the decking and enjoy the wonderful views of Arran.
Carradale is a picturesque, small working fishing village situated on the East side of the Kintyre peninsula, reached by travelling down 'The Long and Winding Road' (Lennon/McCartney) B842 from Tarbert (or up the B842 from Campbeltown). It is an area of immense natural beauty and an unique haven for wildlife with an extensive network of forests and marked walks, some starting from the village itself. Carradale bay, with it's wide sandy beach, is only a short walk away. The village has it's own 9 hole golf course with spectacular views over to Arran and Ailsa Craig. Facilities include the Cruban Bar/restaurant, Glen Bar pub/restaurant, small temporary village shop, post office, tea rooms, and The Network Centre, where bikes and buggies may be hired.
The perfect place for that 'get away from it all' break amongst beautiful countryside with walks right from our doorstep, including 'The Kintyre Way', or just the opportunity to chill out in the slow lane. We are also within easy reach of the ferry ports to Arran, Gigha, Islay and Jura.
We are a no smoking establishment
